Welcome to Travel Hacker Girl, a personal travel and outdoor blog by Enikő. By using this website you agree to these terms. They are short, I promise.

Outdoor safety: please read

Hiking, wild camping, kayaking, wild swimming, cycling, skiing and the other activities on this blog carry real risks, including serious injury. My guides share my experience and research to help you plan, but they are not professional advice and can’t replace your own judgement.

  • Always check the weather, tides, avalanche and trail conditions, and official notices (national parks, rangers, mountain rescue, local authorities) before you go.
  • Choose routes that match your fitness, experience and equipment, and those of the people with you, especially children.
  • Carry a map and compass or offline map, enough water, food and warm layers, and tell someone your plans.
  • Follow local laws, access rules and the Countryside Code.

You take part in any activity at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety.

Accuracy of information

I check facts such as prices, opening times, timetables, distances and rules against official sources, and each guide says when it was checked. These things change all the time, though, and I can’t guarantee that everything is complete, correct or up to date when you read it. Please confirm important details with the official source before you travel or book. If you spot something out of date, I would love to hear from you.
