Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Travel Hacker Girl uses as few as possible. You can read the whole blog with all optional cookies turned off. This page lists every cookie the site can set, and the ones other services can set when you allow them.

Change your choice: click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If you withdraw advertising consent, the site removes Google’s ad cookies on this website and reloads without ads.

Statistics (no cookies)

Visitor statistics and Vercel Web Analytics don’t use cookies, local storage or any other storage in your browser. How they work is explained in the privacy policy.

Advertising (only with your consent)

If you allow advertising, Google AdSense loads and Google and its partners may set cookies such as these:

Google can change the names and lifetimes of its cookies. See how Google uses cookies.

Maps and videos (only with your consent)

Google Maps and YouTube videos stay as placeholders until you click “Load” or allow maps & videos. When they load, Google can set cookies such as NID, AEC and SOCS (google.com). YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode can store items like yt-remote-* and VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE once you play a video.

Affiliate partners

Affiliate links (Amazon, Booking.com, GetYourGuide and others) are normal links. This site doesn’t set any cookie when you click them. The shop sets its own cookies on its own website to know you came from here. You control those in that shop’s cookie banner.

Your browser settings

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The blog keeps working, but it will ask about cookies again because it can’t remember your choice.
